Made for More: Answering God’s Call to Reset, Refocus, and Rise

There are moments when the Holy Spirit presses pause on our hearts and whispers a reminder: you were made for more.

Not more striving. Not more busyness. Not more expectations. But more of God’s purpose, more alignment with His will, more walking in the good works He prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10).

This past Sunday, we were reminded of that truth again. And it struck me: this is the heartbeat behind why we’ve stepped into professional and life coaching. It’s also why we’re launching our Reset | Refocus | Rise campaign.

Christine’s Reflection: Teaching and Coaching with Purpose

Have you ever left a puzzle unfinished or seen a half-finished painting? Sometimes life can feel the same—like the pieces don’t fit or the picture isn’t clear. I can relate. In a season of transition, it felt as though the puzzle pieces of my life were scattered, leaving me wondering what the final image would be. During those times, I reminded myself that God sees the whole picture, even when I cannot. I am His masterpiece in progress.

I see the same truth in education. The first weeks of teaching can feel like stepping into a whirlwind—lesson planning, managing classrooms, building relationships, and trying to keep up with endless routines. It’s normal to feel both excited and overwhelmed at the same time. Every teacher has stood in that place, learning, adjusting, and growing one day at a time. Those early struggles don’t mean you’re failing; they mean you’re learning.

Whether in the classroom or in everyday life, the key is not to carry the weight alone. As a coach, I love helping teachers and individuals alike reset when things feel overwhelming, refocus on what matters most, and rise with clarity and confidence. Coaching provides a safe space to sort through the pieces, celebrate small wins, and move forward with hope and purpose.

Scott’s Reflection: Leadership, ADHD, and Rising into Calling

For me, “made for more” has been a long journey. God designed each of us with a specific purpose—one that only we can fulfill. He weaves together every part of our story: the moments of joy, the challenges, and even the weaknesses. And He uses it all for His plans and His glory.

As the psalmist says, “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). That truth reminds me that even the quirks of my wiring are not accidents.

When I think about how God has shaped me, it’s never just one label or test result. I’m an INTP (yes, introverts can like people—sometimes), an Enneagram 5w4, and someone who lives with ADHD. My CliftonStrengths describe parts of me too: a drive to make an impact (Significance), a natural bent toward seeing what could be (Futuristic), the ability to notice the unique strengths in others (Individualization), the determination to stay on course (Focus), and the desire to help people and organizations reach their best (Maximizer). Add to that my education in accounting and nonprofit management, my upbringing in the Mitchell family with two sisters I still insist were “mistakes” (#meantToBeAnOnlyChild), and nearly four decades of nonprofit leadership.

All of that is me. Not one piece on its own, but the whole picture. And it’s out of that whole person that God has called me to serve as a coach.

I’ve learned that vision alone isn’t enough. Leaders often get stuck in indecision, distracted by operations, or overwhelmed by finances. Being wired a little differently can be frustrating when focus slips — but it also fuels creativity, persistence, and unique insights. Coaching, for me, isn’t just about financial strategies or leadership systems. It’s about helping leaders step into the fullness of who God created them to be.

That’s why we’re stepping forward now with Reset, Refocus, Rise. This is more than a campaign — it’s an invitation. An invitation to pause, to refocus on what matters, and to rise into God’s purpose with renewed courage.

Just as a trail gives space to reset from the noise of everyday life, we believe coaching provides space to listen, reflect, and step forward with clarity.

Our Invitation to You

We’re choosing to answer the call to “more” by sharing our story, opening up new coaching opportunities, and walking alongside those who are ready for the next step.

✨ What about you? Where do you sense God calling you to reset, refocus, and rise?

If you’d like a safe space to explore that question, we invite you to book a Discovery Call with either Christine or Scott. Let’s take the next step on the trail together.
